Leading & Visioning
The skills, attributes and roles of leaders in business contexts are explored along with the impact that ethics, power and influence necessarily have on styles of leadership.
Students study the nature of visioning and leading in organisational contexts; how to develop and strategically implement an organisation’s vision, mission and operational plan; how to plan strategically; and how to manage people and organisations so as to instil a culture of co-operation, responsiveness, high performance, innovation and continual improvement.

Managing in Ambiguity & Change
Students experience the impact of change and the resultant ambiguities that accompany such change: be they at the intra-personal, interpersonal or inter-organisational level.
The acquisition of skills to effectively manage change and ambiguity is a key feature of this module.

* Understand and describe a theory and model of organisations and environments grounded in complexity, uncertainty, ambiguity and change.
* Apply systems thinking in organisations to better understand and manage in environments of ambiguity, change and uncertainty.
* Apply systems thinking to clarify one's own role, decisions and behaviours, and to develop strategies to manage environments of ambiguity, change and uncertainty.
